Job Summary:

The Sales Training Manager will be responsible for equipping new hires with the knowledge, skills, and tools required to succeed in the field. The Sales Trainer will play a critical role in conducting new hire training, delivering engaging sales school sessions, and providing hands-on coaching through in-field ride-alongs.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Deliver, and facilitate comprehensive new hire training programs focused on product knowledge, sales skills, compliance, and company values.
  • Conduct live sales school sessions to build selling capabilities, presentation skills, and customer engagement techniques.
  • Partner with sales leadership to assess training needs, refine curriculum, and ensure consistency in messaging across the organization.
  • Conduct field rides with new hires to provide real-time coaching, feedback, and development of selling skills.
  • Track and measure the effectiveness of training programs and recommend improvements based on performance metrics and feedback.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, medical affairs, and compliance, to ensure training content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with industry regulations.
  • Stay current with pharmaceutical industry trends, selling strategies, and compliance requirements to continuously enhance training content.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience with a proven track record of success.
  • Specialty Pharmaceutical experience preferred
  • Previous experience in sales training, sales leadership, or coaching preferred.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to provide constructive feedback.
  • Ability to travel frequently (30%) for field rides, live training sessions, and regional/national meetings.
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance regulations and the pharmaceutical sales environment.

Work Environment:

The work is performed primarily in a remote office environment with occasional required in person office work, meetings, and/or travel. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use hands to type, handle paperwork and sort, file or manipulate documents. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee is required to utilize audio visual programs for frequent meetings and discussions with fellow employees, vendors, outside agencies and/or customers. The employee may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds occasionally.
