The Compensation Analyst is responsible for managing and optimizing the organization’s compensation programs to ensure fairness, transparency, and market competitiveness. This role involves hands-on execution of compensation campaigns, oversight of commission programs, policy management, and support for job postings. The analyst must exercise a high level of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive employee data and compensation information. This role may also support broader total rewards initiatives, including the review of annual benefits plans and documentation of employee

Key Responsibilities - Commission Program Oversight

    • Ensure commission payments are accurate, timely, and aligned with established policies.
    • Maintain clear, written commission plans and policies that are reviewed and signed annually by eligible employees.
    • Partner with Finance, Sales Operations, and HR to resolve discrepancies and ensure fairness and transparency in commission structures.
    • Monitor compliance with internal guidelines and applicable law

Compensation Campaign Management

    • Lead and execute annual and ad hoc compensation campaigns, including merit increases, promotions, and market adjustments.
    • Create and distribute employee compensation letters for annual increases, promotions, and other pay-related changes.
    • Document compensation-related employee actions in accordance with internal protocols and audit requirements.

Policy Oversight & Improvement

    • Maintain and update compensation policies and procedures.
    • Analyze effectiveness and recommend enhancements to ensure alignment with business needs and market trends.

Employee Support & Transparency

    • Respond to employee inquiries regarding compensation, pay structures, and policies.
    • Develop and maintain resources to improve understanding and transparency of compensation practices.

Compliance & Legal Awareness

    • Stay current on federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations.
    • Ensure compensation practices comply with applicable laws, including pay equity and wage transparency.

Job Posting & Salary Guidance

    • Provide salary recommendations for job postings based on market data and internal equity.
    • Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure competitive and compliant compensation offers.

Confidentiality & Discretion

    • Handle sensitive compensation data with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism.
    • Exercise sound judgment and discretion when managing employee information and making compensation decisions.

Total Rewards & Benefits Support

    • Assist in the review and analysis of annual benefits plans to ensure competitiveness and alignment with employee needs.
    • Support broader total rewards initiatives, including benchmarking and strategy development

Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field.
    • 3+ years of experience in compensation analysis or related HR role.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in Excel and HRIS systems; experience with compensation tools.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
    • Knowledge of state and federal compensation laws and regulations.
    • Experience or interest in total rewards and benefits strategy is a plus.
    • Strong documentation and written communication skills, especially in preparing employee compensation letters and maintaining accurate records.

$80,000 - $100,000 a year
