The Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive administrative support services to the office. This position involves a wide range of administrative duties, including but not limited to answering telephone calls, managing incoming and outgoing mail, meeting coordination, word processing, establishing and organizing filing systems, overseeing document control systems, and offering general administrative support to the project team. This role is in support of a public works client and is located in San Diego, CA.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides administrative support to ensure efficient office operations.
Handles administrative requests and queries from senior managers and division staff.
Heavy proofreading and processing of general correspondence, such as letters, memos, reports, and Board letters.
Checks correspondence submitted for supervisor's attention to ascertain that all relevant data, files, signatures, etc., are accurate and included.
Develops and maintains physical and digital filing systems.
Schedules meetings, prepares meeting agendas, and takes minutes.
Gathers data by contacting employees, other divisions, and/or agencies for general information and/or to prepare reports.
Maintains appropriate document control logs by entering information as to type of documents, dates received/transmitted, and file location.
Schedules meetings and maintains conference room schedules. Manage phone calls on behalf of management.
Direct callers to the appropriate individuals, divisions, or projects where assigned.
Operates multiple types of reproduction equipment (printers, scanners, etc.)
Knowledge & Skills Required:
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Good interpersonal skills.
Must be able to multi-task, follow through on all tasks to completion, and work with minimal direction and supervision.
Ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm
Preferred Education and Experience:
BA/BS degree preferred or certification in office administration.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in administrative support roles, preferably in a fast-paced office environment. Prior experience in the construction industry preferred.

The salary range for this full-time role is $71,900.00-$95,900.01 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
