Job Summary
The Department of Psychiatry is seeking an experienced Administrative Services Assistant to provide high-level administrative support to the Chair, Department Administrator, Vice Chair for Education, and faculty across our academic, clinical, and research missions. This role serves as the first point of contact for the administration and education offices, supporting a wide range of departmental activities in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide executive-level administrative support, including complex scheduling, document preparation, and calendar management.
- Manage faculty affairs processes such as onboarding, credentialing, and clinical privileges enrollment.
- Support the education mission by assisting faculty, staff, and residents with program activities and departmental needs.
- Oversee purchasing, payroll, accounting, and other operational tasks.
- Coordinate and support departmental projects and events.
- Serve as a trusted resource to faculty, staff, and trainees, ensuring smooth daily operations across the department.
This role requires strong multitasking skills, attention to detail, and discretion in a fast-paced environment. Previous executive-level administrative experience—ideally in an academic or healthcare setting—is preferred.
This position is located at Fountain Court, an off-campus UKHC site, offering free onsite parking, and the opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven team advancing clinical care, research, and education in mental health.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Working knowledge of certain Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Windows, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and flexibility. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities. Ability to work independently and with professional discretion.
