Accounting Support Lead position

  • ·       Plans and Completes a smooth running of all  RTR & Intercompany tasks in day to day activities and Reporting in the absence of the RTR & Intercompany Accountant
  • ·       Plans and Completes a smooth month-end and year end closing activities related to RTR and Intercompany and CREST Reporting in accordance with the month end closed timetable and DP DHL guidelines, (e.g. IAS/IFRS principles and local GAAP) in the absence of the RTR & Intercompany Accountant
  • ·       Ensures all Balance Sheet Reconciliations including Subledgers (Intercompany Accounts) are performed monthly, reviews and approves according to the guidelines
  • ·       Ensure Team Adherence to Accounting Internal Controls in day to day activities, Internal and External Audit readiness and support in closing any gaps identified within agreed timeline
  • ·       Review and provide feedback on Balance Sheet reviews and ensure that the open items are aligned as per the guidelines on Finance Wiki
  • ·       Provide operational guidelines, coaching and on-the job training to team and drive process improvements.
  • ·       Drives a high-performance service culture that nurtures and encourages service excellence, quality and a ‘can do’ mindset to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • ·       Introduce and steer innovation in existing functional processes, systems, techniques and methods, increasing effectiveness and efficiency - Analyze and recommend changes / improvements in the Accounting guidelines
  • ·       Establish and maintain relationships with Stakeholders, collaborate to drive initiatives/ Ad Hoc Projects on Regional/ Global Finance Level
  • ·       Involve in a the DGF MEA Accounting Academy
  • ·       Prepare Training Materials for the training academy
  • ·       Deliver training to new joiners, existing staff and finance team in the region
  • ·       To ensure timely, accurate and complete financial reports are prepared in accordance with DHL policies
