Visit retailers, dealers and other industry partners in the assigned territory of Central and Northeast Connecticut on a daily basis to help promote the sale of energy efficient products on behalf of our clients. Perform the following tasks:
1.Identify new partners and promotional opportunities to enhance program results;
2.Introduce retailers, dealers and manufacturers to the clients? programs; establish relationships and actively maintain those relationships over time; negotiate promotions;
3.Monitor special promotions to ensure compliance with agreements between partners and our clients;
4.Distribute and place Point of Purchase materials, rebates and coupons in accordance with best practices conveyed through the POP Guidebook and Program Management; work with retailers and management to resolve issues with placement in stores;
5.Maintain knowledge on energy efficient products and programs; provide training to retail staff to help them upsell these products to their customers;
6.Staff special events and educate consumers about the Programs and energy efficient products; this may include occasional evening and weekend events;
7.Keep informed of new products and market information of interest to our clients;
8.Perform annual and ad hoc product shelf/floor surveys; these may require overnight travel;
9.Collect and enter all required data relating to activities in the retailer/promotion database; or other applicable data collection tools;
10. Participate in a lead role at team meetings. Share and solicit information, convey best practices with Program Management and Team Members; and provide solutions to address implementation issues;
11. Provide guidance, assistance and training to other field staff, as needed, to improve overall results;
12.Recommend and engage outside presenters to provide training to field team and build product knowledge;
13.Track and correctly record program expenses and submit weekly expense reports for reimbursement.

Basic Qualifications
?Strong Customer Service, sales or marketing skills;
?Good organizational, planning and verbal/written communication skills;
?Ability to build and maintain relationships;
?Proficiency with computer and mobile technology devices;
?Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends;
?Valid driver?s license with clean driving record and a reliable vehicle;
?Able to travel daily within assigned territory and occasionally outside of the territory (mostly to adjoining territories or states);
?Must live within the assigned Service territory of Central and Northeast Connecticut

Desired skills
?Retail sales, management or marketing experience;
?Knowledge of consumer products particularly lighting, appliances and consumer electronics;
?Presentation and training skills;
?Ability to work effectively within a team environment;
?Creative thinking.
