Candidate will be responsible for the design of rotorcraft dynamic components, specifically main and tail rotor blades that meet or exceed requirements for performance, technical, cost and schedule. Responsibilities include working with a wide range of external and internal customers, in all phases of the blade life cycle. Primary functions including but not limited to conceptual and detail design, engineering support during part fabrication, design of blade ground and flight test specimens and providing support during these test activities. In addition the selected candidate will be responsible for performing trade studies, creating new design configurations, participating in root cause investigations, the creation of engineering drawings including Bills of Material, and engineering support of fielded aircraft. Candidate must be willing to travel both domestic and internationally for brief and extended periods.
Education B.S. in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering or related field.
Experience/Qualifications 0-3 years in part design and/or process design required. Experience with CATIA V5
Experience with advanced surfacing, the design of dynamic components and familiarity with composites is a plus but not required.
