Position Description: The Naval and Area and Mission Defense (NAMD) Growth Analyst will report to the NAMD Business Development Executive (BDE) and be dotted line to the NAMD Growth and Strategy Lead. The candidate will be responsible for assisting in the development of NAMD capability road maps and developing the growth vision and strategy for the NAMD Product Line (PL). This position will entail having oversight of a mission or capability area, associated roadmaps, new business investment, and participate in capture initiatives. The position is located at Raytheon Missile Systems in Tucson, AZ.
Major responsibilities include
Assist in developing comprehensive strategy for the NAMD PL to grow beyond the core programs through actionable insights and comprehensive analysis.
Synthesize internal and external data to establish foundational growth strategies.
Analyze customer roadmaps and data in order to develop NAMD centric roadmaps that define 10 year path forward.
Work with International Capture leads to understand global customer demand signals and develop future variants/products/services that meet customer’s needs.
Accelerate working relationship with Advanced Missile Systems (AMS) in order to ensure that future pipeline opportunities meet the needs of NAMD’s customer set and develop clear path for transition of programs into NAMD PL.
Work with RMS Strategy team to develop Merger & Acquisition (M&A) candidates that fill capability gaps within NAMD portfolio.
Facilitate New Business Investment (NBI) process by providing analysis and metrics to NAMD Growth Lead and BDE.
Analyze external financing streams outside of NBI.
Provide metrics and analysis that support the NAMD Leadership team to help guide New Business Investment (NBI) administration
Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Education
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field.
A critical and strategic thinker with insatiable appetite for increasing knowledge/perspective. Acute listening skills with ability to efficiently sort facts, demonstrating sound judgement and effective decision making.
Proven ability to develop effective internal and external relationships.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Minimum of 6 years in relevant experience preferably in the domestic/international aerospace defense market or equivalent.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
Master’s in Business Administration.
Intermediate understanding of RMS products and markets, technical roadmaps and business operations.
Working knowledge of RMS organization and a broad understanding of the strategic planning process and the RMS strategic growth plan.
Extensive background working with Navy services domestic and international.
Strategic perspective to identify potential NAMD growth opportunities with US Navy.
Understanding of government procurement, fiscal and regulatory environment.
Experience working in strategy, Product Lines or other functional areas within RMS.
This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement.
