The selected candidate, through market research, attendance of trade shows, conferences and symposia, and other exploration methods, will research and identify new and emerging tools and trends in Air Vehicle Sustainment and Product Support. The candidate will represent the Combat Air Modernization team to determine where these tools and trends can improve readiness, reduce cost, or provide increased/enhanced capabilities; execute trade studies to determine the appropriate plans of action.
Additional duties will include coordination and development of proposal content in pursuit of new business opportunities. Definition and execution of Sustainment IRAD/CRAD programs focused on Next Generation maintenance and product support concepts; and identifying and developing Sustainment Synergy opportunities for Combat Air platforms (F-16, F-22, F-35).
Candidate must have working knowledge of supportability and life-cycle operating issues related to reduced total ownership cost, reliability, maintainability, maintenance philosophy, spares provisioning, support equipment requirements; logistics footprint reduction, and supply chain management.
Successful candidate must be innovative, have strong inter-personal skills capable of working in a fast paced IPT environment with minimal supervision. Candidate will coordinate with various weapon system Program Offices, Customers, Internal Management, Business Development, and Integrated Product Teams to produce desired end products within directed schedule and funding constraints. Candidate is required to create and deliver informative, persuasive presentations to both internal and external stakeholders. International travel may be required. Applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Bachelor or above degree in Engineering, or similar Field of study focused on Sustaining Engineering
Experience with fighter aircraft sustainment and logistics
Experience working with customer to generate requirements into affordable solutions.
Experience with proposal development and execution
Understanding of data analytics, machine learning, prognostics and health management, and condition based maintenance
