We are an established team of 80+ who are working with Custom Border Protection (CBP) at Cargo Systems Program  Directorate (CSPD)  to help them accomplish the vision of a streamlined, paperless, single window electronic filing using Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) systems that helps the government to determine admissibility of Cargo entries. Currently ACE is accessed by about 60,000 CBP employees every day, to secure and facilitate trade and travel on behalf of its employees and 47 government agencies, and to account for $1B in revenue per month to the US Government.

Seeking a Senior Java Developer/Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Alexandria, VA.

Contract requires US Citizenship.

CSRA leverages Lean and Agile methodology and a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to manage several agile development teams in parallel with DevOps Team in a highly complex environment focusing intensely on continuous value delivery.

The technologies we use include:

- Open source technologies:

 Java, MyBatis, Spring, Oracle, Weblogic. - Atlassian Tools suite:  JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, Git

BS or equivalent + 5 yrs related experience, or MS + 3 yrs related experience CBP Public Trust Suitability (Limited or Full) required to start

Software Developers on our team: - Designs, develops documents, test and debug applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.

- Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems.

- Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. - Ensures software standards are met.
