Marketing Manager, components

Reporting to the VP of Marketing, components, this position will be responsible for managing Marketing communications to achieve business goals associated with optimizing and improving the sales and lead funnel.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

Lead management activities:
Develop appropriate messaging and content around Tecan?s products and services and interface with Global MarComm to leverage available channels for distribution and awareness.
Own the Marketing activities calendar and results (ie. Leads) including tradeshow logistics and messaging.
Implement web strategy, SEO results, and drive improvements in close collaboration with Product Management and Global Marketing/Marcomm.
Leverage new technologies and Marketing channels to drive continuous improvement in lead generation.
Demonstrate success in product launch activities and periodic Marketing campaigns.
Coordinate vendors and contractors that support Marketing activities.

Market research & brand management:
Support positioning and improve perception in the market for the Tecan brand by implementing content strategy and messaging supporting the business value proposition and positioning strategy.

Support:
Coordinate periodic sales event(s) for components direct sales team to align activities, messaging and support training needs.

Experience and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in a technical or business/Marketing field or equivalent experience required
2+ years of experience in the Life Sciences, Diagnostic or Biotech industry is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, SAP a plus
Proficient in digital/web/social media Marketing
Demonstrated understanding of diagnostic and/or life science instrument principles
Experience with OEM or B2B Marketing
Technical writing experience or capabilities is strongly desired.
Excellent verbal and written English required
Mandarin or German language skills are desired
Good communicator in both inter-cultural and multi-level situations
Proven track record of driving and leading projects. Solution and detail oriented with hands on approach to projects
Must be able to travel 20% of the time
