The Lockheed Martin Owego (New York) Systems Engineering team is looking for mid-career Systems Engineer to work on avionics system/subsystem development in the Navigation & Mission Planning organization. The selected individual will work as part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary engineering team supporting system software development through all phases of design (system requirements, software development, and system integration test support).

Activities and responsibilities will include interfacing, coordinating, and facilitating development of the avionics (navigation or mission planning) software with multiple engineering disciplines (systems, software, and test) as well as internal and external program management and leadership.
Our most current needs are for team members experienced with the following:
? Systems engineering lifecycle activities
? Integrating systems on rotary wing aircraft
? Development of functional diagrams, use cases and CONOPS
? Defining multiple data interfaces
? Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple design configurations concurrently and lead the team to meet integral milestones

Owego, New York is located about 200 miles northwest of New York City and about 75 miles south of Syracuse New York. Owego sits just north of the border with Pennsylvania and is part of what's known as the Southern Tier" section of New York State. The region is home to Binghamton University, Ithaca College and Cornell University. Niagara Falls, NYC, & Philadelphia are all within a few hours? drive from Owego. Rolling hillsides, historic homes, quaint country shops, riverside restaurants, wineries, craft breweries, festivals and a beautiful river make this region a great place to live.

Basic Qualifications
? Must be able to obtain DoD Secret Security clearance
? Demonstrated technical leadership for cross disciplined team; ability to communicate on all levels with internal and external customers/excellent presentation and customer interaction skills
? The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
? Experience with requirements development, system design, problem analysis and resolution, and/or integration and test.
? Experience and practices in Earned Value Management (EVM).
? Project management and planning skills.
? Experience with Avionics integration on military aircraft
? Previous Systems Engineering experience across the entire program life cycle within military aircraft / avionics architectures and associated off-board support systems.
? Experience with requirements derivation
? Software requirements development, SDD, SRS, general Spec development
? Demonstrated leadership abilities

Desired skills
? Experience with SE related tools and applications.
? Experience familiarity with government (USAF, NAVY) customer processes.
? Experience with Agile development practices and concepts.
? Ability to communicate on all levels both verbally and in writing, with internal and external customers; demonstrated technical leadership.
? Ability to work as a company engineering representative at customer locations.
? Knowledge of RMS system engineering practices.
? Experience using DOORS
? Cost and Schedule management
? Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; able to work effectively independently or within a team environment.
