Conducts research, design, development, and testing of information processing hardware such as computer chips, circuit boards, computer systems, and electrical components. Designs new or modifies existing products, develops technical specifications for production, analyzes hardware configuration and processing solutions, and tests hardware conformance to specifications.

We are searching for an Orlando based energetic, creative, capable Engineering Tech to support GDIT?s exciting design, development of maritime simulators. This position will assist System Engineers with installs, operations, and maintenance, repairs and software or component installs of training devices used by military and commercial customers.
This position offers a great opportunity to perform a variety of technical support functions on IT products and interfaced hardware such as integrated systems, subsystems, and software both in a lab setting and at customer and/or field training in locations like; San Diego, CA; Newport, RI; and Hampton Roads, VA.
Best candidates will have electrical, information systems, network or information assurance engineering knowledge and experience. Software understanding and installation experience of simulation based training devices is highly desired.
Able to use MS office Products including WORD, EXCEL, PP, VISIO, etc.
This position does have customer interface needs so effective customer communications and relations are necessary to be successful.
Knowledge /experience with DOORs, AutoCAD, Solid Works or other related software and processes is beneficial. Training simulation experience, DOD simulator experience and /or Navy experience / understanding is also helpful.
Travel required 25%-30% of the time.
Able to obtain a security clearance is required.
