Description: This engineering position is with our Historic Skunk Works in Palmdale, California.

This Flight Controls position includes Control Laws Development, and integration and coordination with software design, implementation, and systems integration teams. Tasking also includes reporting to Technical Management and Cost Account Manager. Need to have demonstrated working knowledge of stability and control analysis, flight control system architecture, autonomous control algorithms & analysis, system integration and test. Strong system engineering experience and the ability to mechanize the requirements for Guidance, Navigation and Control systems is highly desired. Must be proficient at making presentations to customer groups and internal community.

***Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and a Secret clearance with Background Investigation date less than 5 years to start.***
Desired Skills: ?Good understanding of aircraft stability, control, and
aerodynamics characteristics
?Proficient with simulation/control laws development,
aircraft/system modeling
?Ability to clearly, concisely, and briefly communicate technical
design, requirements, and trade study results to internal,
external, and customer team members in formal program
reviews and informal integrated product team (IPT) meetings.
?Proficient with both Dynamic Inversion and conventional control
law development methods.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor or above Degree in an Engineering Technical or Scientific Discipline

Experience with Matlab OR Simulink

Experience in Flight Controls and/or Guidance and Control

Experience in the design of flight control laws (algorithms & software) for aviation applications.
