About the Position:
Providesupport to the Category Manager ? Contracts and Contract Management Team by managingSupplier performance and compliance to contractual obligations providing thebest value to National Grid within the agreed timelines, cost schedules,quality and safety standards.
Key focus will be to manage Contract lifecycle of various sharedcontracts up to an including, Indirect, Corporate & Professional Services,Facilities, Gas/Electric Material contracts, New Energy Services, EnergyEfficiency contracts for National Grid delivering value to the business and ourcustomers with safe and compliant contracted resources.
PositionResponsibilities (including but not limited to):
愚anage leveraged contracts to ensure that the agreed goods,services or works are delivered consistently and safely by the supplier.
幌xercise Contract reporting and monitoring to review contractperformance and Delivery, review / recommend Contract strategy adjustment (if applicable)and develop clear action plans for future Delivery.
嵯emonstrate a collaborative approach when working with internal stakeholdersand external suppliers to manage Contract expectations from mobilization tocompletion.
感articipate in the CM [COP] Community of Practice initiative toimplement and maintain a best in class practice; using the National Grid 6 StepCM process, drive consistency across contracts managed, influence culturechange to Contract oversight and management.
感roactively identify, build and maintain strong strategicpartnerships with suppliers, and contractors in Order to understand andinfluence external opinion and maintain a strong reputation for National Grid.
微everage knowledge of the partnership terms and dynamics tomaximize value, Influence suppliers? concerns and apply innovative waysto ensure mutual commercial value is mitigated and strong Contract performanceachieved.
微ead CM initiative to implement a Supplier /Contractor Performance and Monitoring process, monitor the suppliers?performance (via KPI?s / SLA?s), to prevent unnecessary contractual risks andmaximize value.
意egotiate and exercise consistent change controlas a framework through which agreed changes are made to the scope, performanceexpectations, timing or cost, while being delivered.
弒dentify, review and assess Contract risks, execute mitigation plans ensuring opportunities to drive value areleveraged and risks mitigated
愛esponds to underperformance of contracts byrenegotiation and influencing suppliers to maximize commercial advantage andvalue. Professionally manage non-conformance.
慌hen necessary collate evidence and communications to supportescalation and engage with senior stakeholders to plan for the most appropriateaction.
感rovide the commercial lead on supplier contracts, providingcommercial leadership and expertise across a range of contracts as required maximizing the efficiency and value of the contracts.
感rovide specialist commercial support to other teams / projectswithin National Grid as required.
廈ave a track record of successful management ofcollaborative commercial relationships across multiple disciplines, showinnovation in commercial matters to add value
Knowledge & Experience Required:
Procurement experience having strong negotiatingand influencing skills, organized, detailed oriented
Experience implementing a robust ContractManagement process
Strong interpersonal and communicationskills, managing relationships withSuppliers, contractors, vendors and stakeholders
Demonstrates competency in conflict resolution,negotiations and reporting
Ability to analyze Contract data, i.e. KPIs /SLA?s, to manage Contract performance and support commercial decision making
Demonstrates the ability to manage multipleprojects and competing priorities; able to make independent decisions with highdegree of confidence
Software capability with SAP, Excel, Word,PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Microsoft Project desired
Bachelor?s degree required. Masters level in Business, Supply Chainpreferred.
Minimum of 5 - 10 years of Purchasing /Procurement experience having various responsibilities involving the successfulmanagement of contracts, change management, strategic planning and budgetarymonitoring and control experience is preferred
