Lockheed Martin Space is looking for an entry level Program Planner to support the SBIRS (Space Based Infrared System) satellite system and OPIR (Overhead Persistent Infrared) missions, considered one of the nation?s highest priority space program providing early missile warning for the U.S. military. As our new Program Planning team member, you will need to be someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, leads by example, and has the uncanny ability to influence and foster collaboration and teamwork that generate impactful results. You will be part of a team to plan and manage detailed schedule networks from design, assembly, test, and into operations.

As a Program Planner you will interface with Engineering, Finance and Business Operations, and Program Management while working with the entire planning team to translate authorized customer requirements into the performance measurement baseline. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining compliant Integrated Master Schedules which accurately and comprehensively validate contractual scope, work flow, and resources required to execute the program.

Our Program Planning team works with cross-functional teams to drive progress and performance, monitor changes and status, and facilitate communication between stakeholders. We assist in negotiating handoffs between product areas regarding technical content and schedules as well as facilitating workaround planning as required. We serve as liaisons by maintaining, publishing, and presenting relevant planning and scheduling information and metrics to provide visibility and communicate potential issues to management and engineering.

Must be a US Citizen. Selected applicant will not require a clearance to begin employment, but must be willing to obtain a clearance after employment.

Basic Qualifications
? Bachelors degree with no prior experience, or in lieu of a degree candidates who have 7-8 years of relevant job experience will also be considered
? United States citizenship
? Must be able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance

Desired skills
? Familiarity with a scheduling tool such as MS Project, Real Time Project, or Primavera
? Customer service experience
? Presentation experience
? Experience analyzing data
? Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
