This position can be either a Financial Analyst II G07 or a Sr. Financial Analyst G08 based on the candidate?s qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.
The Air Warfare Systems (AWS) Business Office has an immediate financial analyst opportunity to provide support for the Griffin & HARM (High-Speed, Anti-Radiation Missile) programs. The Griffin is a highly precise, low collateral, air-to-ground missile that enables the warfighter to effectively engage targets in a multitude of environments. Over 3,000 units have been delivered in the last 5 years. HARM is a legacy program with a primary mission to suppress and destroy surface-to-air missile radars, early warning radars, and radar-directed air defense artillery systems. Both systems absolutely vital to the warfighter. Due to the multi-contract nature of the program, the ideal candidate must be able to prioritize and allocate resources in a challenging, deadline driven environment. In addition, professional and effective communication skills are required due to the frequent interaction with program and functional leadership.
Tasks include working with bookings/backlog, maintenance of contract modifications, development of forecasts/manpower, EACs in both production and development environments, and preparing presentations for Program Management reviews. The ideal individual for this job will be an excellent communicator with a desire to learn and be challenged, the ability to work on a variety of tasks with little direction, and the ability to interact with a variety of management. This position will provide an opportunity to enhance skills in material analysis, forecasting, estimates at completion, variance analyses, and other metrics and tools used in support of contract depot projects.
·Bachelor?s degree in finance, business, accounting or related field and minimum 2 years experience in a finance, business management or related role or a MBA degree
·Strong forecasting and analytical skills, including experience working with (Fixed-Price Procurement) FFP expenditure forecasts
·Experience interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines (Contracts, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain) in program development and execution
·Strong desktop computer skills, particularly in the use of MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
·Minimum three years of experience with Achieving Process Excellence (APEX), PRISM, and Business Warehouse or similar database
·Proven ability working independently and with higher levels of management
·Minimum 4 years of experience working in a production or depot environment
·Ability to effectively work in a challenging and fast paced environment
·Ability to communicate effectively with peers, leadership, and customer
·Analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
