About the Position:
The Employee Communication & Engagement Team is responsible for leading and developing the employee communication strategy that supports the ambitions of NGV and delivers business outcomes, improved engagement, informed people and a positive impact on retention and performance.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Support the delivery of internal communication plans/projects/policies in conjunction with the business in order, to ensure consistent and timely messages are rolled out in line with the NGV strategy, leadership qualities, purpose, vision and values.
Work collaboratively with the broader Corporate Affairs and US Strategic Communications teams, to provide aligned and timely communication messages across National Grid Ventures and its stakeholders.
Develop and deliver content through existing channels and other methods (newsletters/media/social media/digital) to amplify the NGV story to internal audiences.
Working with the key stakeholders (LSR, T&I and DE> projects) to plan & prioritise communication activity, clarify appropriate messages and preparing campaigns as required.
Promote and implement communications measurement principles and practices to evaluate effectiveness of communications programs and campaigns.
Event planning, management and delivery.
Manage the day to day relationship with external vendors and creative service providers in the US to develop and implement effective communication solutions.
Promote NGV activities across wider NG audiences
Knowledge & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree required in communications or related field, or comparable experience.
3-5 years’ experience in a corporate internal/external communications environment with direct experience providing strategic guidance to senior executives.
Experience in organizations focused on innovative communication strategies and solutions a plus.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to simplify complex concepts.
Action-orientation, motivated by results, with an ability to deal with ambiguity will be a plus.
Demonstrable knowledge and experience of all aspects of internal/external communication mix, including channel management, research and measurement and social media
