PROJECT LEADER ? CONSTRUCTION
This position is a short term, 9 month assignment, requiring travel to three separate client locations in Richmond, VA, Hutchinson, KS and Newport, TN for three (3) months at each location, concurrently.
Manage contractor safety.
Monitor and report EHS / 5S compliance
Develop construction communication plan.
Manage contractor mobilization and demobilization.
Manage contractor temporary facilities (offices, power, telephone, etc.) requirements
Provide overall construction management
years? construction experience, with a good understanding of all trades associated with commercial and industrial construction
Ability to communicate written and verbally to client, team and management
Ability to lead meetings and take meeting minutes
Ability to work with minimal supervision in daily tasks
Knowledge of technical vocabularies and terminology common to construction industry.
Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including word processing, spreadsheets and applications
Work includes field inspections and the physical ability to conduct field inspections which require the following activities:
extensive walking in and around a construction site, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces and working in small or confined spaces.
Some lifting may be required.
Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress).
Must be able to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communication, listening and interpersonal skills
Must be able to maintain positive relationship through daily communication with the client
