SAIC is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to support of a Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) program in Crane, IN.


- Draft and review test plans, test reports, briefs, and other system documentation that will be routed through the lead systems engineer and provided to customer.
- Review and provide technical feedback on proposals from vendor to help feed decisions on system changes.
- Be flexible with changing schedules and processes due to the nature of a Joint Urgent Needs Statement (JUONS) product.
- Understand DoD acquisition and program office documentation process to be able to release products in a timely manner.
- Know technical and detailed capabilities of the system and be able to provide technical support to the program office, customers from the field, and Crane field service representatives (FSRs) and liaison naval officers (LNOs).
- Plan and participate in test events in various locations, including but not limited to Yuma Proving Grounds, Crane test ranges, Muscatatuck Urban Training Center, and aboard Navy ships.
- Aid in development of future system capabilities.
- Understand and apply RF engineering principles as they relate to electronic warfare and understand various types of unmanned aerial systems (UAS), how they work, and how to defeat them.

Required Education and Experience

- Bachelor?s degree and five years or more experience; OR a Master?s degree and three years related experience.
- Active DOD Secret clearance. Higher clearances accepted.
- System Engineering Experience
- Active DOD Secret clearance.
- Excellent communication skills; inter-personal; organizational and detail-oriented
- Understanding or experience with software defined radios and Python, C, C++, and VHDL is a plus.
- Knowledge and work experience with Radio Frequency (RF) systems, antenna systems and electronic warfare systems is desired.
- Knowledge of DoD 5000 series Systems Engineering and Life Cycle Management principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
Travel: Up to 25% possible.
