The HR and Employee Services HR Specialist II will provide gross-to-net payroll process information and guidance to the customer service team, employees, former employees, managers, and human resources partners. Additionally, responsible for processing the company?s more complex Payroll transactions, providing functional and analytical support for Workday, tax filings, and supporting the processing of payroll for the organization.
Provide high touch customer service that meets expected service levels and business performance goals through telephone, email, case management system
Coach callers in the use of self-service
Provide advanced support and system guidance on completion of complex transactions including quarter end, year end, W-2, T-4/RL-1 processing, taxs updates, etc.
Provide subject matter expertise in transactions and processes within the HRES
Administer and provide subject matter expertise in resolving payroll errors and discrepancies prior to finalization of the payroll process.
Support and provide subject matter expertise in the payroll administration process including but not limited to time entry, stop payments, garnishments, etc.
Process International Payroll, Payroll uploads, initiate and monitor payroll, and balance internal and vendor integrations.
Provide support by answering transactional and functional questions
Assist with training HR Specialist I to proficiently and efficiently process transactions
Provide guidance to co-workers and support the integrity of employee records and Workday data by running various audit and processing reports and modify data as necessary
Support team members within the HR and Employee Services
Identify, suggest, document and implement ongoing process improvements.
Assess inquiries or reported issues to determine best method of resolution
Document complex inquiries and escalate to other parties as necessary, providing warm transfers of calls to next tier or third party vendor if appropriate
Provide follow up communication to customers to ensure satisfaction and ticket resolution, including documenting customer contact information and notes
Works collaboratively within a team to share ideas, ownership, and accountability for driving improvements and consistency of execution for key HR processes
Provide feedback on customer issues and the case management system so that management can address and improve the items
Participate in scheduled and ad hoc training in order to improve policy and process acumen
Ability to accurately collect information in order to understand and assess the clients' needs and situation
Perform other duties as assigned
Bachelor?s degree in applicable field, preferred
High school diploma, plus 3 years+ experience in HR-related field, required
Excellent telephone manner with clear, concise and professional communication skills.
Demonstrate broad HR/Payroll/Benefits knowledge, as pertains to the company, providing customers with relevant information, policy explanation and navigation support.
Customer Service and call center experience preferred; previous experience in a centralized HR Shared Services environment is a plus
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to interact with clients and HR Service Center team members.
Ability and willingness to work in a team environment
Self-motivated and independent problem solving ability
Experience with Workday or other HRIS systems preferred
Spanish speaking skills, desired
Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
Ability to work in a change-filled environment and manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions, required
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
