JBC-P SW Systems Engineer (Job Number:437035)

Description:

SAIC is currently looking for mid- level System Engineers with experience in engineering and analysis developing system / subsystem capabilities to work on the AMRDEC COEv3 MMC project. The duty location is in Huntsville Alabama (Redstone Arsenal) and a Secret level security clearance is required. Candidates without an active clearance MUST be able to obtain an interim clearance for these positions.

Project Description:

The COEv3 MMC system is being developed by the Army, with SAIC as the Prime Contractor, as a direct replacement for the currently fielded Joint Battle Command Platform (JBC-P) system. It will be a state of the art battle command information system that provides integrated, on-the-move, timely, relevant Command and Control / Situational Awareness (C2/SA) information to tactical combat, combat support and combat service support commanders, leaders, and key C2 nodes. It is being built from the ground up using the latest Java technology. The COEv3 MMC system will provide leaders a capability for selecting, managing, and assimilating relevant data and information, allowing commanders the ability to concentrate combat weapons system effects rather than combat forces, and enables units to become both more survivable and lethal.

Responsibilities:

Candidate will be expected to work in a small team, agile environment, to engineer the design, implementation and test of software (SW) components/applications through the entire SW lifecycle.

-
Candidate will be expected to analyze and design system capabilities by decomposing larger system capability sets into smaller, incrementally delivered component requirements with full traceability

-
Candidate will be expected to derive functional and component level requirements by developing use cases, functional diagrams, user interface design, and interface documents

-
Candidate will be expected to provide workbook (Integrated Master Schedule) estimates on the time required to design, model and implement requirements of SW components
