We are seeking a Software Engineer to join the dynamic SBIRS CIA Software Development Team! The selected candidate will design, develop, and test software solutions across our contracted efforts in support of our ground system software, supporting multiple baselines in defect resolution as well as enhancements, special projects, new business initiatives, and modernization efforts within our development environment. The candidate will work in a team environment potentially supporting multiple projects. In this role the candidate will design, code, integrate and resolve problems in software.
Software tasks to include: the startup and shutdown of the SBIRS system, the creation of a common queue topology needed to pass data between machines and software processes, the testing of configuration managed software builds once they are installed on the hardware platform, and the creation of the process group templates to be populated by all software items. The CIA team is responsible for all phases of the decomposition of the Software and Hardware Architecture across the entire SBIRS program. The team provides an architectural approach to the integration of the SBIRS program. CIA completes pre and post installation checkouts on all strings. Expert ability to understand program specific dataflow and Inter-Process Communication (IPC): data queues, rdisplays, queuebridge, mq, ppgls on Linux/AIX/SGI Operating Systems.

Bachelor?s degree from an accredited college/university in an engineering or scientific discipline.
Software Development experience with at least 2 years? experience in one or more of the following: Java, C, C++, C#, Perl, Python, Ruby, Unix Shells
Experience developing maintainable code, performing unit, integration, and regression testing.
Expert problem solving capabilities.
Ability to quickly learn challenging concepts, decompose difficult software problems and provide resolution
Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI level clearance.
Experience working / integrating with IBM MQ
Linux/AIX/SGI OS Software Development background
Excellent written and verbal communication soft skills
Understand the inner workings of the SBIRS Software Processes
