As an ASIC/FPGA architect, you will work with other subject matter experts to define the next generation of Lockheed Martin Space electronics. You will work with ASIC and FPGA vendors to understand their capabilities and roadmaps in order to support programs and early phase development. You will ensure program requirements are met by selecting the right ASIC/FPGA vendors/technologies to meet future mission requirements. There will be occasional special assignments including proposal support, independent review team support, anomaly investigations, and conference participation. You will represent LM as major technical point of contact, interfacing with internal and external customers and suppliers in the area of microelectronic product development.

ASIC or FPGA design or ASIC/FPGA verification experience
Subject matter expert in all aspects of ASIC/FPGA design process including architecture definition, requirement definition, vendor selection, RTL coding, test bench generation/verification, synthesis, place and route, STA, LEC, ATPG and post-silicon debug
Project leadership of ASIC/FPGA design teams including defining project schedule and resource estimates, resource tasking, schedule tracking, risk mitigation, generation of status reports and generation/presentation of major milestone review material
Leader of ASIC/FPGA anomaly investigations
Lead/participated in ASIC/FPGA tool evaluations/selections
Experience working with ASIC/FPGA hardware vendors
Experience working with ASIC/FPGA CAD vendors
Experience mentoring junior engineers
Frequent industry contact/participation in conferences/symposiums
