Job Description:

The Qatar Depot Operations Manager shall be Responsible for the day to day management and coordination of the Depot and executing the approved Depot scope. The Depot Operations Manager shall rigorously manage the Depot Operations scope, schedule, and cost. This position, based in Doha Qatar, has significant visibility and exposure to BG level customers within the QEADF and will also have extensive USG Senior Mgt. visibility.

This position requires 10 years demonstrated experience in international air defense training and
advisory missions of the Patriot system; supporting both US and international programs, 10 years Program Management experience, and significant Patriot deployment & fielding experience in Middle Eastern countries. Experience in managing a large team typically comprising of other managers and/or supervisors and experienced professionals. The Depot operations Manager will be located in the Qatar and responsible for the smooth operations of the Depot. This individual should possess significant Patriot Sustainment (Service/Maintenance and Depot) experience as well as Project Management experience. The Depot Operations Manager must have an understanding of the ITAR/EAR and Raytheon internal policies (109-RP) and guidelines.

The ideal candidate shall possess:

Patriot Sustainment Knowledge/Experience ? must have extensive knowledge in domain of Sustainment for Patriot ground systems. Including Depot activity, Technical Assist/MIR support, FRACAS, ESSM and other Sustainment activities.

Product, domain, and industry knowledge ? broad knowledge of the Patriot System as well as technology and concepts of RTN products through first-hand experience on programs and/or through functional organizational support. Possess an understanding of RTN and its suppliers capabilities; ability to conduct international industrial capability assessments for co-development and co-production opportunities. Knowledge and understanding of direct and indirect offsets, including RTN internal policies (109-RP) and guidelines.
  • Export / Import Compliance ? broad knowledge and understanding of the process and requirements of maintaining compliance with all export and import controls as outlined in RTN policy 128-RP
  • Personal engagement in growing the business ? provides value-added time and energy (?rolling up one?s sleeves?) supporting and staying up-to-date on key pursuits, including shaping the strategy, keeping cross company stakeholders/contributors aligned, leveraging resources and talent across other businesses, and drawing from past experiences.
  • Influential communications ? provide leaders with useful, timely, and accurate information by having the latest information, the political savvy, the oral / written communication skills, and the courage to speak up during leadership reviews.
  • Time management - The ability to effectively prioritize and de-conflict competing tasks based on an accurate assessment on what will provide the greatest value to the business.
  • Cultural Sensitivity ? The ability and willingness to learn and adapt to differing social, legal, political and cultural factors that affect business dynamics, through great observation skills and adaptability.

  • 10 + years of related experience in one of the following: Project Manager with sustainment, maintenance, repair and return, depot operations competencies
  • Currently holds or the ability to obtain a secret clearance

Required Education:
BA/BS Business in Engineering or multiple years of relevant field experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. (Two years related work experience can substitute for one year of education)
