The Prepositioning and Marine Corps Logistics Services (P&MCLS) program is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistics services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) and U.S. Navy.



We are seeking a Organic Maintenance Supervisor

for our Jacksonville, Florida location.

GENERAL SUMMARY

:

Provides supervision to equipment mechanics, clerical support and drivers within the Organic Maintenance Section on the P&MCLS program. Provides technical assistance and support to internal customer sections, such as motor pool, warehouse MHE equipment and fuel support personnel, who are supported by the Organic Maintenance operations. Serves as GME (Garrison Mobile Equipment) supervisor. Provides direction/support for all GME equipment replacement and disposal. Provides detailed specifications for all GME acquisitions. Directs GSA vehicle replacement, specifications and operations. Provides direction and coordination over DLA ? Energy capitalized fuel and the fuel station operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

:

Supervises and manage the activities of skilled and semi-skilled employees who are performing a wide variety of duties to obtain optimal use of equipment, facilities, and personnel.

Overall responsible for the maintenance program concerning all GME equipment for the P&MCLS program as per MCO P11240.106_ Garrison Mobile Equipment.

Provides technical advice on all matters relating to organic maintenance.

Maitntains a

Built In Quality (BIQ) concept and methodologies for the Organic Maintenance team.

Ensures mechanics and other employees are properly trained in all maintenance functions.

Coordinates with other supervisors to ascertain compatibility of procedures among various organizations or branches engaged in logistic support activities and to ensure a close integration of operations.

Schedule and conduct load testing and certification of all GME WHE per MCSF-BI Command Order 11262.1_, Weight Handling Equipment (WHE), MCO P11240.106, and NAVFAC P-307 for Navy assets.

Reviews and analyzes expenditure, financial, and operations reports to determine requirements and makes recommendations to management that will improve overall efficiency.

Approves requisitions for equipment, materials and supplies within limits of department budget.

Ensures all completed work is in compliance with specifications and time schedules.

Performs administrative management tasks and prepares related management reports.

Assists in the formulation of administrative and operations policies and procedures and ensures compliance with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules and government regulations.

Provides technical guidance/assistance and makes decisions where written guidelines are not available.

Maintains MPF ISO-9001:2015 policies and procedures and ensures on-going compliance with such.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications:

Eight years of directly related work experience, including 2 years of supervisory experience.

BS degree in engineering, transportation, or other related discipline.

In lieu of a degree, a combination of college credits, other formalized training or education, and directly related work experience may be considered.

U.S. Citizen.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a NACI clearance.

Additional Qualifications:

Ability to complete the requirements to obtain NAVFAC P-307 Load Test Director course within the first 3 months of hire.

Ability to review and apply technical specifications and requirements.

Ability to analyze equipment and forecast spare part requirements.

Ability to analyze maintenance, repair or operations to determine methods of improvement.

Ability to comply with all established methods, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position.

Strong written and oral communication skills.
