This position is specific to the design and manufacture of printed wiring boards. This position is the central resource for taking in designs, analyzing and defining methods for meeting technical requirements such as stack up and impedance. This position coordinates computer aided manufacturing team and lays out routing flow (steps and processes) to ensure circuit boards are built to print. This position will also coordinate with build process engineering and manufacturing engineering to ensure technical compliance to product specifications.
Candidate must understand the basic elements of printed wiring board construction, electrical function and how the processes used to fabricate. The candidate must be able to work in a team environment with design, manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, computer aided manufacturing (CAM), process engineers and manufacturing. Candidate must understand stands for the build and construction of printed wiring boards such as IPC requirements.
Ability to use software for the calculation of board impedance. Experience in enterprise resource planning tools (SAP is used at LM-Owego). Understand the use of electronic data (Gerber) in the production of printed wiring boards. This position will require defining materials and creating a bill of materials. Ability to work in an engineering documentation system (EPDM). After creation of bills define the build flow and publish manufacturing document in SAP. Coordinate and lead first piece evaluations and document lessons learned. Experience with Microsoft office suite.
