We are currently seeking a PLC Maintenance Mechanic for our manufacturing/bottling facility in Woodridge, IL.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Proactive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime
Reactive maintenance on production lines to recover from component failure
Troubleshoot and repair production and support equipment for processing, packaging, palletizing, etc.
Strong working knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting, working
knowledge of RS Logics, RS Links and Device net
Creative problem solving to perform equipment improvements
Repair mechanical, electrical, and structural components
Create retrofits and fabrication as needed
Machine tear down/repair and assembly
Planning of preventative maintenance and project work
Creation and completion of SAP reports, including work orders
Strong communication skills with others with the ability to coach others
Safely operate forklift, scissor lift and boom truck
Work on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Variable Frequency Drives
(VFDs), and electric motors
Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Maintain the cleanliness of the work areas and all associated equipment
Cross train on all production and support equipment
Ability to work off shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
Execute preventative maintenance tasks on production and support equipment
Work with production technicians to troubleshoot issues compromising operational efficiency
Provide technical training to production technicians
Properly record task completion and use of maintenance parts and materials in AMM
Adhere to good housekeeping standards in maintenance parts area and at work stations
Relieve production technicians and substitute during absences
Key qualifications include:
? Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in maintenance related fields.
? High school diploma or equivalent.
? Prior experience in a high speed clean manufacturing environment preferred,
prior food, hot fill beverage or pharmaceutical experience a plus.
? Strong mechanical and electrical skills with a strong understanding of equipment
troubleshooting and repair.
? Proven knowledge of Industrial Electrical T/S and Maintenance
? Experience working with AB PLC-5, SLC-500, & CLX 5000 processors.
? Experience in PV, PV+
? Demonstrated maintenance and troubleshooting skills with PLC's and VFD's.
? Willingness to work flexible shifts depending on project/production requirements.
? Motivated self-starter with the ability to work in a team and independently to
achieve team objectives.
? Computer navigation skills, to include Microsoft Office applications.
? SAP and Datapass or equivalent system experience preferred.
? Able to lift 100 lbs. and pull 118 lbs. as required.
? Able to work with an awkward posture for 2 hours or more as required.
? Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check
