Sherrill, Inc. is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our team in Greensboro, NC. This person will report to the Senior Controller and be responsible for managing the Accounting team. This is a full-time position offering great benefits!

Financial Duties:
Daily Responsibilities:
? Ensure all accounting transactions are recorded, are legitimate and have supporting documentation
? Prepare cash flow, receivable and inventory report
? Setup foreign exchange transactions with bank
? Work with A/R & A/P clerks to manage aging
? Respond to needs pertaining to accounting department
Weekly Responsibilities:
? Review AR and AP aging with Controller
? Review check/ACH/wire disbursements for accuracy and timeliness
? Setup wire and ACH disbursements
? Ensure AR collections are aggressively pursued and possible problems communicated to the Controller
Monthly Responsibilities:
? Review checklist of all monthly and quarterly payments to properly accrue any unbilled expenses
? Assist Controller with monthly closing process
? Supervise and review the preparation of sales tax returns
? Assist the Controller with the reporting and distribution of departmental budget vs actual expenses
Annual Responsibilities:
? Assist the Controller with preparing the standard list of requested documents for the annual audit
? Respond timely to any additional requests of information from the auditors

Management Duties:
Oversee and train accounting staff in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as well as supervise their transactions. Oversee training programs to make sure proper cross-training exists within accounting department's various clerical functions. Encourage and discipline employees based on company policies and procedures. Assist with performance reviews, delegate work assignments and establish expectations. Maintain strict confidentiality when dealing with various employees.

Ideal Candidate Education and Qualification:
? Advanced knowledge of GAAP
? Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting
? 5 Years of Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable Experience (combined)
? Previous experience in a Management role, delegating responsibilities and managing multiple employees
? Excellent organizational skills
? Ability to communicate professionally via email, on the phone, and face-to-face
? Attention to detail is critical
? Strong work ethic required
? Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
? Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet strict deadlines efficiently
