Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Management or Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position
General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) has an immediate opening for a Logistics Engineering Lead for our Bloomington, Minnesota location. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems. GDMS employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
As an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) project leader, coordinates ILS team member assignments and builds and maintains the team's functional capabilities
Ensures design interface between ILS and engineering occurs at the beginning and throughout a project assuring supportability is designed into the project
Coordinate Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) team member assignments and prioritize deliverables to meet assigned deadlines
Effectively leads project discussions across engineering, contracts and program management domains to assess impacts on ILS requirements from proposed project and design changes
Actively uncovers ILS technical and organizational risks and ensures they are included in the project risk management database and creates ILS mitigation plans
Assesses other functional area risks for impacts to ILS
Directs ILS project workflow to meet program and customer delivery requirements
Leads members of the ILS project staff supporting projects
Provides ILS functional area inputs (technical and cost) to proposals
Provides ILS input to project plans and deliverables
Defines, reviews and analyzes project requirements for enhancements/modifications for supportability
Leads ILS project reviews, development and modification of ILS project procedures and policies
Provides input and insight in the selection and development of employees
Maintains project schedules that show manpower allocation and estimate to complete
Demonstrates very strong leadership capability consistent with a team-based work environment
Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
Highly proficient knowledge of ILS elements: Reliability and Maintainability, Supply Support, Maintenance Planning, Manpower and Personnel, Technical Data, Training and Training Equipment, Support Equipment
Highly Proficient knowledge of the Department of Defense acquisition logistics process
Ability to coordinate other project disciplines
Effective communication skills both written and verbal
Exemplifies a professional business acumen
Expert in various ILS software applications
Analytical background with expertise in Microsoft Excel
