Description: This Logistics Specialist, located in Silverdale, will act as the support equipment/container liaison, interfacing with multiple entities to support operations and production schedules.
Main responsibilities noted below:
Perform inventory of support equipment assets and provide contractor furnished data to the customer.
Forecast support equipment and container/onbase pallet requirements and work with advance procurement and inventory managers for delivery schedules.
Prepare allowance change requests and perform building allowance reconciliations.
Plans, schedules and manages the efficient movement of material from the warehouse or other FBM plants to production.
Develops raw material requirements and scheduling requirements from engineering specifications and production schedules and plans and manages material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production. May use Material Requirements Planning (MRP) .
May negotiate lead times with suppliers and manage schedules for timely delivery.
Administer property control program activities to ensure continual accountability of company, government, or associate contractor, property and assets in accordance with applicable corporate policy or government regulations.
Maintain property accountability records, determine condition, and arrange disposal of surplus or obsolete material or equipment.
Conducts property audits, develops, recommends, and implements property administration policies.
Provides guidance on company policy and government regulations pertaining to property accountability.
This position requires an Interim Secret Clearance in order to be considered.
Desired Skills: Experience with Material Acquisition System (MAS) processes, MILSTRIP functions, and Government requisitioning
Experience with property administration processes and Government Property Management requirements (FAR/DFARS)
Knowledge of Government repairable management (3rd and 4th level repair)
Familiar with support equipment management and PDS requirements
Familiar with FBM processes for acquiring support equipment
Green Belt certification
Basic Qualifications: Experience with logistics/property data bases (SAP, ASRS, IMAP, and AMOS) or equivalent logistics databases for managing inventory and property.
Ability to interface with multiple activities to coordinate transfer and delivery of support equipment and container requirements.
Ability to review, analyze, and interpret procedural documentation and production schedules.
Proficient with Microsoft Suite products and ability to manage spreadsheets.
Effective and efficient written and verbal communication skills.
Self-starter who is proactive with ability to multi-task.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance, Interim required prior to start.
