Description: Lead Engineer responsible for the development and upgrade of all Manassas Program Special Test Equipment requirements. Responsibilities include full Engineering design and development, assembly, team oversight as Lead Engineer, budgeting and scheduling.
This position requires a dynamic self-starter, capable of working independently and as part of a team, with leadership qualities and a can-do attitude.
Desired Skills: ? Ability to provide assembly assistance during the build cycle of newly developed Special Test Equipment.
? A demonstrated understanding of automated test equipment.
? Three years of programming experience utilizing LabView.
? Ability to support Fleet Engineering issues.
? Ability to cross-function as Electrical Engineer to provide support for Manassas Hardware Engineering.
Basic Qualifications: ? Ability to provide Team oversight, direction, and guidance as Lead Test Equipment Engineer for any Special Test Equipment (STE) development and upgrade tasks within Manassas Hardware Engineering.
? An ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and customers including strong technical skills.
? Ability to provide electrical design, cable drawings, wire lists, wiring diagrams, bill of materials, schematics, and configuration documentation related to the development of all Special Test Equipment within Manassas Hardware Engineering.
? Ability to provide simple mechanical design, along with the utilizing Mechanical Engineers as needed for STE development.
? Ability to ensure STE design and assembly meet required safety, workmanship, configuration, and certification standards.
? Ability to provide a keen attention to detail.
? Ability to provide accurate and defendable estimates with multiple development approaches as options that balance affordability, reuse, modification, and risk for all tester designs.
? Provide engineering support to the maintenance of test equipment used within Manassas Hardware Engineering.
? Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
