Description: This position is open to highly qualified logistics personnel. The Engineering Development Center (EDC) is looking for a self-starter with a strong logistics background to organize the EDC stockroom, inventory existing material, implement a data management system, and to control the flow of material into and out of the stockroom.
The candidate with control the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements. Ensures that customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints in order to meet marketing and financial objectives. Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration and related functions. Builds relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives. Integrates learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve competitive position.
Desired Skills: Prior experience working military contracts and knowledge of military standards and procedures. Knowledge and experience with the Automated Depot Information System (ADIS). Detail oriented. Familiar with military shipments and Depot inducting activities. Familiar with standard military documents including DD1348s and DD1149s. Experience with handling and stocking of military assets. Intermediate knowledge of the DoD Supply Support functions. Experience with procurement requisitions
Basic Qualifications: The candidate must have a "can-do," attitude and is a self-starter who continually seeks ways to improve program success and must be both program and job/task oriented. Demonstrate ability to multitask efficiently and exhibit effective problem solving and process improvement skills. Capable of analyzing data and provide synopsis of process health using system tools and Excel. Knowledge of measures used to report and analyze data. Demonstrate proficiency with contract Statements of Work requirements. Must be able to prioritize internal and external customer needs. Must demonstrate and understand asset Repair and Return processes and procedures. Must possess excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills. Must have appropriate interpersonal and teaming skills. Must be able to demonstrate computer usage skills including proficient working knowledge of MS Suite. Must possess exceptional organizational skills.
