Description: Function:
Perform a variety of tool crib ordering, receiving, storage and distribution operations within the production flight hangar.

Typical Responsibilities:
? Maintain various storage lists, files and logs pertaining to the control of tooling for the manufacturing and maintenance of aircraft.
? Check tool availability and set proper schedules for release of work order packages.
? Contact involved departments and persons to obtain information to process related paperwork and insure earliest availability of needed tooling.
? Obtain delivery dates from departments and vendors and follow up all items to expedite priorities and preclude shortages, including transporting tools to affected departments to maintain schedules
? Notify affected sections of any changes, which may cause delays in the fabrication and delivery of required tooling.
? Check drawing and operation sheets for special tooling callouts.
? Perform all duties necessary to order, receive, visually check, store, preserve, issue and inventory all company owned tools, dies, fixtures, perishable tools and expendable shop supplies contained in assigned crib or section.
? Maintain records and clerical systems for controlling inventory and accountability of related records and paperwork.
? Responsible for Total Tool Control.
? Maintain proper certifications for chemical and adhesive mixing.
? Responsible for maintaining hangar access and temporary Hangar Access Badges.
? Move tools, dies, etc. between departments, cribs and storage areas.
? Responsible for all tool crib activities within assigned cribs.
? Work closely with supervision, production foreman, manufacturing personnel and other responsible departments concerning lost or misplaced tools, availability of new tooling and other problems affecting operation of cribs.
? As necessary participate in re-arrangement of crib layouts.
? Prepare list of supplies or obsolete tools for inactive or dead storage.
? Investigate and resolve problems affecting group of supplies or obsolete tools for inactive or dead storage.
? Investigate and resolve problems affecting tool crib activities.
? Perform related or similar duties as directed; refer all unusual situations or recurring problems to working leader or supervisor.
? As required segregate waster material and follow good housekeeping practices to maintain cleanliness of assigned areas and comply with all EH&S procedures.
Basic Qualifications: Education:
? Requires knowledge of tool control, storekeeping methods, expediting, shop practices, flight operations and general business procedures in order to perform Flight Operations Tool Crib functions.
? Must stay current in all certification to maintain skill in job.

Experience:
? 2 to 3 years

Additional Information:

Work will be performed at the customer's facility in Pax River, MD.
While working at Pax River, Sikorsky employees must follow operating procedures as established by the customer which include:
? Must be a US citizen.
? Must currently have and/or be capable of obtaining a security clearance.
? Must currently have or be capable of successfully completing an NCIC criminal background check to access Pax NAS.
? Must currently have or be capable of obtaining full unescorted access Pax NAS.
? Must have a valid photo ID (driver's license + social security card or birth certificate OR US passport).
? Must have valid driver's license/vehicle insurance to drive on base at Pax NAS.
? In addition to the standard Sikorsky personal protective equipment (PPE), all maintenance personnel must be able to wear steel toe safety shoes and wear long pants. Additionally, cranials must be worn outside while working above four feet.

This position is dependent upon the anticipated duration of the CH-53K helicopter flight test program, which is expected through April 2020*. At the conclusion of the CH-53K flight test program, the employee may be offered the opportunity to relocate to the Development Flight Center in West Palm Beach, FL to support future flight test programs, pending business conditions.
