We are looking for experienced Deputy Program Manager to join the SAIC TEAM providing air traffic controller training on the Controller Training Contract, CTC, at the Federal Aviation Administration?s (FAA) Academy in Oklahoma City, OK.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is responsible for ensuring that air traffic control specialists provide the flying public with a high level of safety and professionalism. A well-trained Air Traffic Control (ATC) workforce plays an essential role in fulfilling this responsibility. The FAA employs more than 14,000 air traffic controllers. They work in air traffic facilities of varying sizes, safely separating more than 50,000 aircraft in the National Airspace System (NAS) each day.
To provide such air traffic services, the FAA trains new air traffic control specialists and provides recurrent training to current air traffic control specialists. The FAA utilizes Contractor-provided instructional services at the FAA Academy in Oklahoma City and at FAA ATC facilities around the country to ensure these training needs are met. The scope of the contractor-provided services includes all training and training program support to successfully train and prepare students to become fully certified air traffic controllers. SAIC must provide training and training related support services as required for all types and levels of ATC facilities.
SAIC is looking for an experienced Deputy Program Manager for the FAA Academy training program. The ATC training contract support staff at the FAA Academy has in excess of 550 full and part-time instructors and other technical and administrative support personnel. The Deputy Program Manager must have expertise in the following areas: Program Management and Training Support that includes classroom training, simulation/laboratory training, and monitoring of student progress.
Deputy Project Manager. Candidates for this position must have a minimum of a baccalaureate degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Education, or any other area of study comparably relevant to the management of this effort, from an accredited college or university. The candidate must have at least 10 years of experience in the management and administration of efforts of scope and complexity comparable to that anticipated at the FAA Academy. In lieu of a baccalaureate degree the candidate must have at least 15 years of experience in the management and administration of efforts of scope and complexity comparable to that anticipated at the FAA Academy. In addition, the candidate must have experience with training.
