About the Position:
The Director, Market & Platform Integration will provide leadership and clear direction through managers for developing “Go to market” strategies for all existing products and emerging products. This role will lead the management of marketing activity campaigns for all products and services, across jurisdictions and for all customer segments. Develop the platform integration strategy and implement National Grid’s one-stop-shop marketplace for customers to access all products and services, Develop, manage and optimize target audience, messaging, creative, media/channel and promotional strategy across and by key product/service partners (Energy Savvy, Energy Sage). Responsible for the delivery and documentation of work within the agreed timelines, cost schedules, quality and safety standards.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Lead the design and creation of an on-line personalized marketplace for customers to access all products, services and financial mechanisms to monitor drive awareness reach and product growth
Partner with National Grid leadership to ensure that marketing activity goals are communicated to the Market & Platform team and that group direction is consistent with corporate strategy, direction and growth objectives
Integrate new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; reviews return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with engineering, vendors and the delivery groups (where applicable). Ensures continuity and optimization of new products into legacy platforms.
Develop product positioning to specific target audiences by creating new marketing campaigns. Assesses and monitors competitiveness and effectiveness. Ensures new product success by developing time-integrated plans with sales, product marketing, and vendors.
Lead, motivate and develop unit, allocate resources and provide the necessary training and coaching in order to develop a performance-based culture and ensure results are delivered in line with expectations and business objectives.
Provide guidance and coaching to team members to ensure their effective development to meet their personal aspirations and future business needs.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and value for money by challenging current processes, methods of project and scheme costing and cost control.
Develop and maintain relationships with all internal stakeholders both inside and outside of own organization.
Work with process owners, management and peer Managers to identify and implement business process improvement and best practices in a consistent manner; and remain abreast of changing technologies and industry best practices.
Contributes to $100M operating profit goal by accomplishing related results as needed.
Knowledge & Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in a business or social science related areas and 7+ years of related experience Advanced degree/credits are preferred.
Regulatory experience, including managing regulatory processes or contributing to regulatory filings desired but not required.
5+ year experience in Technology industry, specifically in on-line sales/marketing.
Proficient in relevant software e.g. Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience and proficiency in relevant company related IT systems.
