Raytheon IIS Field Engineering ( IISFE ) is seeking a Fire Unit Technician. The Fire Unit Technician will provide in depth system knowledge and field experience related to the theory of operation and trouble shooting skills required to resolve complex Patriot missile system Major End Items (MEI) electronic and mechanical problems. The Fire Unit Technician / MIR will provide day to day execution and oversight of the Kuwait Patriot program and modification process by providing technical guidance and assistance in the performance of testing, checkout, maintenance and repair of Patriot major end item, assisting with pre and post modification program preparations, integration and demonstration, assisting in isolating system and end item malfunctions using built-in test equipment (BITE) and manual maintenance procedures and providing technical guidance in the use of special tools and test equipment.
Selected candidate will receive job specific training at Fort Sill, OK prior to relocating to Kuwait.
Successful completion of a Patriot System Intermediate Maintenance Course for MOS 27X/94S/140E/14E/916A/918A or an equivalent course of instruction on a similar electronic system conducted by the military or the system contractor.
6 years of related Field Engineering experience.
Demonstrated 4 years of field maintenance experience troubleshooting, fault isolation, repair, and functional verifications of the Patriot Air Defense system or similar electronic system using maintenance diagnostics, unit self-tests, BITE, tools and available test equipment.
Demonstrated experience with Department of the Army Modification Work Order (DAMWO) installations to include system integration and checkout.
Secret Security Clearance is required.
US Citizenship is required.
Above qualifications plus Patriot Depot Forward maintenance experience.
Demonstrated experience with radar and/or radar technology.
Experience in the operation, maintenance, test and repair of the Patriot Configuration III system, ECS, RS, IFF, LRPT, and GMT at the Organizational and/or Intermediate /Depot level.

Raytheon Six Sigma Certified.
Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of related experience, or Associates Degree with 8 years of experience or HS Diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience
