The Manager of Pricing Strategy provides visibility, transparency and analytical rigor in support of pricing and trade promotions decisions. Manages the planning, execution and delivery of all activities aligned with Price Strategy scope and goals in partnership with key stakeholders. Provides guidance and leadership to staff.
Lead development and application of disciplined analytics and insights to optimize trade spend and price across customers and channels in order to maximize sales and margins
Manage and influence key stakeholders around implications of pricing strategies, often balancing competing interests
Lead the development of key performance indicators for pricing and trade, creation of consistent and actionable scorecard reporting
Oversee the efficient operation of systems, tools and processes while identifying any enhancement opportunities
Play a key role in setting cadence for review of pricing and trade initiatives with brand and customer teams
Lead a team of analysts who serve as central resource for Pricing Strategy. Coach and develop Senior Analysts and Analysts and facilitate their movement throughout the organization
Bachelors degree required, preferably with emphasis in business, economics, finance and/or accounting; MBA/CPA also a plus
7+ years of business experience; 3-5 years of consumer packaged goods (CPG) experience in roles within Revenue Management, Customer or Sales Strategy, Sales or Trade Finance preferred
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products
Experience working with Nielsen/IRI POS data
Demonstrated professional and academic success
Strong business, financial & analytical acumen to develop both short and long-term strategies which deliver top and bottom line results
Proven ability to synthesize syndicated and/or financial data to form clear and coherent category and brand strategies
Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional relationships and influence individuals at higher levels within the organization to impact behaviors and outcomes
Demonstrated track record of thinking in new and imaginative ways, challenging the status quo, driving continuous improvement, and effectively managing change
Proven success dealing with time-sensitive ambiguous issues in a dynamics business environment, driving towards resolution and progress with varying amounts and quality of information
Mentoring, coaching or direct supervisory experience of junior employees
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stage projects to their completion
