Raytheon BBN Technologies is seeking an Associate Software Engineer in our Newport, RI office to develop embedded systems software for our Sensor Systems group. The successful candidate will be self-motivated with an ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, delivering high quality, customer-focused solutions.
•Software Engineering proficiency in C/C++
•Experience developing software in and for Linux (i.e. CentOS, Red Hat, etc.)
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
•Software development experience in a Unix/Linux environment
•Proficiency in Java, Python, or Matlab
•0-2 years of development experience across a variety of computing hardware platforms
•0-2 years of experience in real-time/embedded systems software
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, or related field
•Coursework in Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, and/or Signal Processing a plus.
