This position is located at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, Nevada, and will support the F35 Information System Security Program. The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) Team Lead performs mandatory information system security tasks on assigned information systems utilizing Joint Special Access Guide (JSIG), DoD 8500 documents, NIST, CNSSI, F35 C&A documentation and other related DoD documents for various F-35 systems at Nellis. Tasks include, but are not limited to configuring classified and unclassified systems, writing System Security Plans, establishing and maintaining configuration management plans, install/update/remove computer equipment, obtaining government approvals to operate information systems, weekly system audits, anti-virus management, upgrading/downgrading of systems, establishing new user accounts, preparing for and supporting inspections, etc. ISSOs work under the direction of of the F-35 Air Systems Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM). Successful candidate must be knowledgeable of information technology security principles, COMSEC, Windows Servers/Clients, PC Desktops, LAN management, and Microsoft suite of applications. Conduct self-inspection reviews and system reviews. This is a multi-tasking environment that demands customer service, communication, and organizational skills. Mission requirements may require other than first-shift work. May perform tasks as the Alternate F-35 AS ISSM when needed providing direction to the local F-35 Cybersecurity staff. Other duties as assigned.
Desired Skills: Proven complex problem solver using ingenuity and creativity while working with a considerable amount of latitude.

Experience with Windows server and security implementations IAW RMF and JSIG.

Experience with central log management system.

Ability to develop, integrate, and perform analysis of classified computing systems and networks operating in various modes.

Experience working in a military environment consisting of the USAF, USN and USMC.

Experience in a leadership role with direct reports.

DoD IAM Level II (CAP, CISSP, GSLC, CISM) or Level III (CISSP, CISM, GSLC) certification.
Basic Qualifications: Final Transferable Secret security clearance, last Periodic Reinvestigation must be within the last six years.

Must be able to attain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access.

Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Joint SAP Implementation Guide (JSIG) certification and accreditation processes and methodologies (or equivalent).

Must have and maintain DOD 8570 IAT Level II (Security + CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, GSEC).

Extensive technical abilities applying full knowledge of systems functions, security policies, technical security safeguards, and operational security measures.

Ability to lead others and develop strategies to execute tasks with minimal guidance.

Excellent oral/written communication skills.

Prior experience as a DoD Information System Security Officer/ Information Systems Security Manager.

Minimum 2 years of supervising Information Technologists on a DoD network.
