The Systems Architecture Design and Integration Directorate (SADID) is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon’s Integrated Defense Systems (IDS). The more than 1,100 employees of SADID provide requirements definition and design at the system, subsystem and component level every day in a collaborative environment which is characterized by respect for the individual, problem solving in a team setting, consensus oriented solutions, and results based recognition. Supporting this mission are teams providing domain expertise and creative solutions in surveillance, naval and missile defense based radar system design, sonar and undersea sensor system design, integrated air and missile defense systems engineering, command and control/battle management system design, combat system and platform architecture design and integration, operational analysis and simulation modeling research and development, software intensive system engineering, cyber solutions and algorithm development for signal processing, tracking and discrimination systems. The Operations Analysis and Simulation Department within SADID has a charter to conduct analyses and support programs across the IDS portfolio, including surface Navy, undersea Navy, missile defense sensors, interceptors, command and control, integrated air and missile defense systems and space surveillance systems. The work is classified and the candidate must have at least a DoD SECRET clearance.

The Analyst will take part on teams responsible for delivering measurable mission effectiveness performance and cost benefit results for a range of complex and advanced technology warfighting architectures specifically (although not exclusively) focused on Raytheon systems. The Analyst work with business development staff to create and model advanced technology options to support new captures and other product line growth opportunities spanning the product lifecycle: design, development, production, sustainment/support, and obsolescence. The Analyst must have effective communication and presentation skills.

This position can be a Salary Grade G06 or Salary Grade G07 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of technical work related experience participating and supporting analyses and studies to include understanding how to define and execute a study.
  • Knowledge of principals such as CONOPs, system tradeoff analysis, threat definitions and system of system assessments.
  • Experience evaluating new concepts of operation and developing new technology use cases.
  • BS/BA in Engineering, Science or Mathematics.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Strong System Knowledge in warfighting Domains, including at least one of the following: Air Defense, Ballistic Missile Defense, Air/Land/Sea/Joint C4I, Operations in a Cyber Contested Environment
  • Knowledge of mission planning user interfaces
  • Knowledge of at least one of the following programming languages: C++, JAVA, Python
  • Experience with MATLAB and Simulink models
  • Highly motivated individual with strong technical and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work on teams to develop credible results and present them in a convincing manner.
  • Effective communications skills
  • Current Extended Background Check with polygraph
  • MS in Engineering, Science or Mathematics
