AECOM is searching for a Project Support Manager II for one of our Washington, DC locations. The Project Support job family is responsible for managing and coordinating domestic activities and functions required to support international projects and offices.
Provide strategic advice to the Chief of Staff (NA-10) on messaging structure and process improvements to facilitate better communications flow through a variety of channels, including but not limited to: the NNSA/DOE Executive Secretariat correspondence process, congressional reports, press releases, departmental deliverables, Nuclear Weapons Council (NWC) deliverables;
Work with the DOE and NNSA Executive Secretariats to manage/track the status of all Defense Programs communications, monitoring the intra and interagency coordination that accompanies all substantive written products;
Gather, analyze and present critical information to functional managers, SMEs, and senior principals within DP through the development, analysis and editing, and control of a wide variety of written materials (i.e., NWC-related deliverables, press releases, speeches, congressionally-mandated reports, responses to congressional inquiries, etc.) that reflect the policies and views of NA-10;
Assist in developing clear, concise, and polished written products for review by key leaders in NA-10 and across NNSA, as well as improving procedures for the drafting and review of written communications;
Perform detailed research and analysis of pertinent laws, regulations, policies, and programs when required, in order to develop and propose effective and organizationally representative statements for review and approval by senior leadership, to include those governing the preparation, coordination, and eventual delivery of mandatory NWC reports to the President of the United States and Congress;
Research DOE/NNSA regulations and other official guidelines in order to analyze the accuracy of assertions made in incoming correspondence or verify statements contained in NA-10 written products prior to publication, bringing these and proposed courses of action to senior leadership;
Assist with maintaining a comprehensive database of NA-10, NNSA, and NWC-related precedent documents, such as issue papers, plans, reports, and correspondence that reflect current and past technical and policy positions on a wide range of topics and issues, in order to streamline future taskings;
Research, identify, and analyze geo-political, technical, and economic issues that must be addressed in responding to incoming assignments and correspondence;
Review replies drafted by various components of NA-10, analyzing written products for clarity, making sure the conclusions reached are consistent with the facts presented, and recommending major revisions, changes in coverage, or complete reorganization of manuscripts;
Review and analyze all incoming NA-10 correspondence; determine the scope of the subject matter and office of primary responsibility; make office task assignments, track progress, and provide guidance on content and format;
Analyzes content of all correspondence for compliance with applicable directives, procedure, and policies; makes change recommendations. Prepares all correspondence for review/signature of the DADP, PADAMA, Principal Deputy Assistant for Defense Programs, Executive Director, and NWC Action Officer;
Establish and monitor procedures and policies for general and NWC-specific correspondence, official files, records disposition, scheduling, office protocol, and briefings and presentations; and,
Serve as lead for all NWC report coordination efforts (e.g., pre-planning, coordination, technical report writing, configuration management/control, and distribution)
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Security Clearance is Mandatory: Job requires access to classified/restricted data documents and/or materials. This position requires obtaining and sustaining a DOE "Q" security clearance. Note: holders of active DoD Top Secret security clearance are acceptable if they can be transferred to DOE ?Q? through the reciprocity process.
Education: Bachelor?s degree in Business or related field or demonstrated equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience is required for this administrative level position; extensive years of project support experience needed. Incumbent must possess ability to work independently, interpret and implement IT policy and procedure specific to office management.
Level Specific Responsibilities: Works under general direction. Works on complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands: Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
