General Responsibilities:
? Provide naval systems development and network engineering expertise to a Department of Defense (DoD) customer. Collaborate with DoD partners on development efforts to determine unique solutions for naval systems technologies in the area of network architecture design, routing, signal processing, and integration for complex networks including acoustic, RF and optical domains for both line of sight and Beyond LOS links. Determine strategies for technology feasibility, large-scale development efforts, and coordinate with stakeholders to advance the technologies and monitor progress. Develop concise briefings for senior leadership to show analytical results and progress against statement of objectives.
? Perform tasks in a variety of areas to include:
? Provide technical advice and direction for program evolution and execution including:
? Network design, routing, development and integration
? Networking data exchange across layers and network boundaries
? Network protocol design and implementation (TCP/IP, CDMA, TDMA, etc.)
? Understanding of state of the art network design for terrestrial/RF applications and ability to translate this to underwater applications
? Provide inputs to the program manager in response to all calls for information regarding program activity, including weekly activity reports, information requests, and Congressional inquiries
? Support and coordinate milestone and executive reviews
? Create documentation in support of classified programs to be routed for senior leadership approval. Identify risks and coordinate mitigation plans and approaches
? Prioritize work by considering its risk, importance, urgency, and potential business, organizational, and client implications
? Interact with clients, government officials and other executives in the private sector

Mandatory Skills Requirements:
? B.A./B.S. Degree or higher in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
? 5+ years for experience
? Extensive experience with MS Office, Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint
? Prior experience with the development of large military systems, processes / systems development, in exchange for direct naval systems development will be considered.
? Strong written and oral communication skills, detail oriented, strong organizational skills
? Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
? Excellent attention to details and diligent adherence to deadlines and deliverables
? A high-level performer with the ability to be proactive and respond rapidly to changing conditions in a fast-paced environment
? Strong organizational skills
? Location: on-site in Arlington, VA in a team environment with government and contractor employees
? Experience with providing analysis and support to science and technology or advance research and development programs preferred
