Raytheon BBN Technologies is seeking a digital signal processing engineer with underwater acoustics experience to join our Physical Sciences & Systems business unit located just outside Newport, Rhode Island. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, algorithm development, embedded and real-time implementation and optimization, modeling and simulation, and performance testing. Qualifications & Skills required:
? Software engineering proficiency in C utilizing a Linux environment
? Working knowledge of MATLAB
? Real time embedded signal processing using vector libraries
? Optimizing libraries and algorithms
? Multi-rate signal processing, beam-forming, direction finding, and CFAR detection processing
? Experience with a formal design/code/test process.
? Strong verbal and written communication skills
? A current US DoD Top Secret clearance is required.

Required Education & Experience:
? Bachelor?s Degree in relevant discipline and 11 years of direct experience; or MS in relevant field and 9 years of direct experience
