Job Title: Linux Administrator (Level 1)
Job Location: Tampa, Florida
Security Clearance: Secret
Required Certifications: DoD IAT Level II and Solaris/Red Hat/CentOS Certification

Job Responsibilities:

Pro-actively identifies and resolves needed tasks and problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully, and develops alternative solutions to present to management
Work in a team environment on the production of a specialized Trace Systems platform
Occasional Travel to OCONUS locations (Netherlands, Germany) for the installation of hardware or software
Learn new software and approaches to software deployment to enhance team productivity
Be the Subject Matter Expert for the team when it comes to Linux/Unix based systems
Work in a virtualized environment with Windows, VMware and other specialized applications
Develop and refine build, testing and compliance documentation
Ability to train team mates and customers on proper operation of hardware and software components
Install, maintain and troubleshoot Solaris, CentOS, and other Linux based systems
Perform other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in an IT related field ( or previous equivalent experience)
Experienced Linux Systems Administrator for at least 2 years
Must understand computer, network, and infrastructure administration
Familiar with one or more of the following coding techniques and languages: Python, Java, Bash, PowerShell scripting, and PHP.
Basic UNIX administration capability
Familiarity with Windows server and a domain environment
Familiarity with DoD Information Assurance processes and programs (ACAS, STIGS, SCAP, GPOs, etc.)
Some Familiarity with vSphere and VMware products
Must be a US Citizen with an active Secret Clearance

Desired Qualifications:

NATO Functional Application Services (FAS) such as Niris, ICC, LogFas, CoreGIS, MCCIS would be strongly desired
Prior DoD or Army working environment experience a plus
5+ years of experience in administration and maintenance support of Linux servers
Knowledge of IA controls
Strong troubleshooting and conflict resolution skills
Experience with Army IT Systems


Bachelor's Degree in a relevant IT discipline (prior equivalent experience may be a qualifying substitute for a degree)
