Job Description Summary
Enhance stakeholder value by providing finance expertise, leadership and support to the Export business. Partner with Export team to provide actionable business analytics and fact-based recommendations that will assist in delivering against the stated objectives of both the portfolio and consumer as a whole. Actively participate in key finance functional initiatives. Provide coaching guidance, leadership to staff, and development of individual career development plans. Minimum 7 years related experience.
Position Responsibilities
Serve as a business partner for Export team on accounting and finance related questions. This will involve the ability to assess business needs, resolve risks and opportunities in a timely manner, and clear communication of issues/business results
Develop team/staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; includes developing personal growth opportunities for both staff and self, providing timely feedback, and mentoring to the wider organization
Accomplish staff job results by coaching and counseling; planning, and appraising job results; conducting training; implementing policies and procedures
Develop/implement necessary processes to support internal forecasting/reporting requirements and improve forecast accuracy
Serve as the lead for financial discussions at business reviews
Evaluate and deliver periodic metrics, scorecards and reports
Provide FP&A support as needed both within business Segment and to Corporate
Provide M&A team support as needed. Including financial modeling, presentation of information to leadership, and assist in leading integration of business teams
Active partner in COGS and advertising & promotional spending discussions
Lead creation of comprehensive pro forma financials for product development projects, customer and competitive analysis
Constructively challenge and question various business decisions influencing the final recommendation
Participate/lead various finance-wide projects – projects will vary depending on business needs
Engage and motivate direct reports by providing work and development opportunities that offer Autonomy, Mastery and Purpose
Provide formal and informal training on financial concepts and systems to various team members
Position Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting required – MBA and/or CPA preferred
Minimum 7 years of professional general business and financial experience
Previous experience managing a team preferred
Experience with P&L management
International experience in CPG industry preferred
Spanish desirable, not required
Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity, change and a dynamic business environment
Proven ability to develop strong relationships and partnerships with internal customers, peers and effectively managing those relationships
Project Management: experience leading multiple stage projects from conception to completion
Strong fundamental knowledge of GAAP
Proficiency managing and making recommendations for efficiencies with systems and tools, such as SAP and supporting applications
Experience effectively working across multiple departments to complete a project or resolve an organizational challenge
Experience accurately forecasting in a given area and understanding the key drivers of that area
Critical Thinking: Leverage analytics, benchmarking, and insights to generate meaningful financial strategies and solutions
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
