Senior Advanced Applications Developer - Military veterans preferred

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering and/or related field or equivalent experience, plus 8 years of related experience or Master's degree and 6 years of related experience.
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position
General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Senior Advanced Applications Developer. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
Significant experience with JavaScript / JQuery, HTML 5, SQL and Visual Studio, .Net development, CSS, mobile/responsive page design and SharePoint Designer
Experience with SharePoint REST API/SharePoint App Model
Significant client-side development experience; Work with SharePoint Framework is desired
Experience migrating content to Office 365 / SharePoint Online, work with Azure and cloud migration experience is a plus.
Work with refining SharePoint Search including search presentation, tuning and content SEO is desired.
Experience developing workflows and forms using SP Designer/InfoPath or other workflow and forms software
Creation and maintenance of Powershell scripts and the SharePoint management console
Experiencing maximizing SharePoint capabilities using document sets, content types, and large list management
Work with the SharePoint ‘modern’ page experience.
Experience with various JavaScript frameworks
Demonstrated knowledge of the SharePoint application back-end administration including Central Administration
Strong understanding of web applications, IIS and Windows web administration and development
Familiarity with programming using web services utilizing the .NET framework
Practical experience with completion of projects utilizing the Agile development methodology and DevOps approach
Experience writing complex SQL queries
Experience researching, organizing, analyzing and presenting data to support effective decision making
Demonstrated experience in finding creative solutions to meet business challenges
Involvement in the planning, development, testing, and implementation of software tools and changes
A solid familiarity with the Microsoft portfolio to include: Office suite, Skype/Lync and Office 365 applications.
Experience with creation of and maintenance of governance and associated documentation
Ability to estimate required resources and hours to complete a project based on initial requirements
Experience participating in requirements gathering / analysis; designing
Solving challenging issues related to performance tuning and scalability
Experience writing test scripts and testing the code using sample data sets to ensure the output from the application meets the requirements
Review and analyze software defects. Troubleshoot/debug/identify malfunctioning systems and implement software fixes
