This position can be a Salary Grade G07or G08 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position. US Citizenship is required as this positon needs an active US Security Clearance as of day one of employment.

The Production Control Supervisor position is responsible for supervising a team of 17 WIPs in 801 Subsystems Factory. This, in addition to the daily supervision activities, the supervisor is responsible for: Coordinating the kitting of production inventory per Material Resource Planning (MRP) to support the factory build schedule in order to meet On-Time Delivery; maintaining/reporting Production Control Stores metrics; managing and storing age-dated material and hazardous and energetic materials to support production; ordering of MRO, SMI as well as chemicals; Tooling Control room and managing to EAC budgets. The successful candidate will report to the Production Control Manager and needs to be a catalyst for driving continuous improvement, fostering team development and accountability, and working collaboratively with the factory team. Also required is the management and prioritization of material movement to and from the building, utilizing a dedicating Material Handler.



The Production Control Supervisor is responsible for, but not limited to the following:

  • Coordinate on-boarding - Communicate security, safety, reporting location, policies/procedures, training

  • Timecard / Attendance Management Hourly

  • Factory Leadership interface and interactions

  • Cost / Quality / Schedule performance

  • Safety compliance

  • Communication of Production Control Manager and Leads requirements

  • Interface with other Value Stream Leaders across shifts

  • Perform a wide variety of sequencing, planning, scheduling, coordinating and reporting tasks in support of the Production Control workflow

  • Prioritizes project issues and assists in the resolutions process to meet productivity, quality, and organizational goals and contractual delivery requirements

  • Provide the required resources (facilities, processes, equipment, training, etc.) to ensure all employees work in a safe working environment

  • Ensure compliance to all pertinent work instructions

  • Bargaining Unit Agreement & Compliance

  • TEE management

  • Support of Layer Process Assessments (LPAs)

  • Security Compliance

  • Quality Compliance (ESD / FOE / Audit / Training / Certification)

  • Contingency Planning/Execution to schedule

  • Shift Change/OT Equalization Management

  • Daily coordination and facilitation

  • Overtime coordination and Management

  • OTIS reporting

  • Team Facilitation

  • Maintaining/Reporting Production Control Stores Metrics

  • Managing and Storing Age Dated material and Hazardous Materials

  • Coordination of shipping completed product to appropriate destinations

  • Coordination of kitting of production inventory per MRP

  • Continually look for and implement process improvements

  • General Warehousing responsibilities

  • Responsible of daily “out of scope” activates that involve bargaining unit employees


Required Skills; minimum 2 years experience with some combination of the following:

  • Inventory Management

  • Ability to interface and effectively communicate with Factory Leadership

  • Understanding of Cost / Quality / Schedule performance

  • Knowledge of MS Office applications including Excel and Word

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate with various disciplines

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Detail oriented

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast –paced work environment

  • Ability to obtain/maintain a DOD Security Clearance


Desired Skills: 4+ years of experience with some of the following

  • Awareness/Understanding of RMS Security Compliance
  • SAP/PRISM
  • Factory Operations
  • Understanding of Shift Change/OT Equalization Management
  • OTIS reporting



Required Education (including Major):

  • BS or BA in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or Operations Management or equivalent BS/BA degree

To be consider for G08 position, candidate must have a minimum of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in lieu of degree with 4 years of directly related experience, Master’s degree with 2 years of directly related experience.
