Job Description: Production Specialist - Quality Control Inspector - 1st Shift (7 am to 3 pm) 2nd Shift (3 pm to 11 pm)
Reporting to a Raytheon Precision Manufacturing Manager in McKinney, the Quality Control (QC) Inspector will be responsible for inspecting complex high precision metal parts and documenting results.
Please note: this position can be a Production Specialist - G04 or a Production Specialist Senior - G05 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.
Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Working safely every day and supporting efforts to maintain an injury free work place
Defining and establishing part inspection processes that are cost effective and meet all quality requirements
High attention to detail in personal work as well as fellow team member’s work
Close interaction with personnel responsible for machining and finishing process establishment and execution
Day to day interaction with Raytheon employees including all levels of Precision Manufacturing management
Changing and improving processes to increase productivity and competitiveness
Meeting cost & schedule commitments while maintaining the utmost standards for quality
Promoting a spirit of cooperation and following company policies
Experience in a fast paced shop environment supporting multiple priorities
Ability to interface effectively with machinists, support groups, customers, management and team members
1 year of working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and conformance verification techniques
Ability to operate coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and interpret output data
Ability to inspect parts with conventional manual inspection tools (Micro-Hite, calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
Computer skills related to documenting inspection results
Ability to read and understand various Raytheon, military and commercial specifications
Ability to regularly lift up to 28 pounds
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance
Highly competent and trustworthy. Sincere relationship management skills are a must
Exceptional interpersonal written and oral communication skills
Experience completing and documenting first article inspections
Experience with any of the following software systems/tools: Pro-Engineer, PC-DMIS, Microsoft Office suite, etc.
Current DoD Secret Security Clearance
Ability to work any shift
High School Diploma
