The System Integration and Test Engineer (SI&TE) will work closely with the System Integration and Test Lead to validate new configurations of the FPS Family of Systems and to lead Raytheon’s support for configuration management by the US Army Product Manager (PdM) for Force Protection FPS. The SI&TE may act as a backup to the SI&TL and have leadership responsibility under the direction of the SI&TL. The SI&TE will coordinate with the customer and program technical resources to ensure engineering integration and test efforts may be executed properly and will develop technical approaches for cost estimation and execution; write and coordinate technical documentation and support field testing of systems and associated technical documents.

This position requires limited coordination with external customers (US Army PdM FPS Force Protection Engineering and Logistics Directorates), external stakeholders (PdM FPS Force Protection SETA / A&AS contractors; Crane NSWC support), and internal customers (IDS Engineering Support; IIS functional support). This role will participate in the proposal development for new capabilities and the execution phase of the program life cycle by providing technical leadership across a multi-disciplined and critical supplier team contributing to integration and testing of deployed systems and their subsequent enhancements.

Engineering expertise is required to support the Army’s FPS Family of Systems and to support the capture and execution of foreign military and direct commercial sales of elevated sensor system, including aerostats, whether for critical infrastructure protection or integration within a border security system.

Responsibilities and scope include:
•Act as Raytheon alternate POC for technical matters for pursuit and program that include:
-Configuration Management of active configurations
-Developing and submitting or reviewing and recommending edits on Engineering Change Requests
-Development of Field Bulletins and Modified Work Orders
-Performing and coordinating field verifications tests
•Provide integration and test support to both internal and external mission partners and associated components
•Provide integration and test inputs for and participation in proposal and program reviews, readiness evaluations, and design reviews
•Participate in technical interchange meetings with the Army customer and stakeholders as well as other program personnel, and represent Raytheon in technical matters pertaining to integration and testing of systems and components
•Comply with Raytheon processes (IPDS, EVMS, PMX, and EPIC)
•System Integration Lab (SIL) Management: Coordinate lab activities in support of the SI&TE as required and manage flux of GFE, CFE and Capital hardware

Required Skills:
•Experience supporting or leading functional groups in the development of products in compliance with established program and business unit processes (for example the Raytheon Systems Engineering lifecycle process, EVMS EACs; CMMI and internal review gates.
•A minimum of (6) six years demonstrated, exceptional experience in:
-System Integration, System Integrity, Production Engineering, Integration and Test, Verification and Acceptance
-Experience developing test plans and test cases and procedures
-Experience with hands-on test execution
-Applying technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques to solve problems
-Experience leading small teams
-Supporting technical Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) and/or Trade Studies, Risk and Opportunity analyses, and tracking and mitigating of risks
-Participating in or lead technical interchange meetings with team members and other program personnel
-Communicating effectively with customers, teammates, engineers, diverse stakeholders, and management
-Demonstrated experience working with other functional areas (CM, IA, SW))
-Self-motivated and capable of performing tasks with limited oversight, and an enthusiastic performer able to work in a fast-paced, highly visible setting.
-Experience with Windows Operating System
•Ability to obtain Active Secret clearance

Desired skills:
•Experience working with US Army programs and stakeholders, including the FPS Family of Systems
•Experience working with iPDM and cPDM tools
•Prototyping, system interface design and build (Serial data, Ethernet and power transmission interconnect cables)
•Experience with the integration and testing of COTS and/or Free and Open Source Software
•Experience using Six Sigma tools and techniques
•Supporting functional groups in the development of products in compliance with IPDS, EVMS and other specific functional processes, (i.e. EACs, Gates 3, 4, 5, 9, 10 & 11, CMMI, and EPIC etc.)
•Risk and Opportunity Management certified
•Active Secret Clearance

Required Education:
B.S. or equivalent experience in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, and 6 years relevant work experience
